Welcome to Opression City. Where once roamed happy jugglers with impeccable gaiety,
now stalk the vile goons of the Ministry of Not Juggling. Where once rang freedom in
melodius tones, now echo the hope-crushing thuds of propellable objects hitting the ground.
The 2007 Spring Show depicts a world in which our worst fear has become reality:
Juggling, along with all manner of fun, has been outlawed! But do not fear. This is a juggling show. A valiant
band of rebels has gathered to form the La Resistance - an underground movement whose solemn purpose is to bring
back juggling, and with it the majestic anti-gravity lifestyle. This is the tragic tale of love in the face of
horrific repression. Of hope that flickers in the shadows. Of the few, the proud, the clowns, who stand up and fight to
preserve a dream. A dream called freedom. A dream called happiness. A dream called juggling!

YAGS Spring Show 2006: The Iliad - with juggling -
This year's spring show recounted a lighthearted version of Homer's epic The Iliad. Along with traditional acts involving balls, clubs, diabolos, devil sticks, staffs, and trays, the show featured several exciting new tricks for YAGS. These included a cigar box act, a magic show, a black light glow scene, and a YAGS custom made blinking LED staff, which utilized persistence of vision to draw vibrant moving patterns in the dark. As for the story, it was replete with both clever and delightfully dumb jokes ("...baby back...ribs..." was especially well received), awesome music, and hot godesses. Paris and Helen bonded over their mutual love for rainbowsandkittensandsunshineandponies. Achilles wrote rude comments on Priam's facebook wall. Zeus looked lost, confused... but compensated with an endless supply of lightning bolts to the face. And Jonny Moseley, Paul Revere, and the Huns also fit in, and in a very logical and straightforward way, but you'll have to watch the dvd (email Greg Jordan to get one!) to find out exactly how.
YAGS Halloween Fire Show 2005
The annual fire show returned with dozens of ridiculously flammable acts, many sizzling jokes, and volcanic proportions of fire! Performers juggled and passed torches, spun poi, fought with staffs, tossed diabolo, twirled devil sticks, and more - all on fire - as they acted out the humorous story of Puritans tempted by witchcraft. Taking place on the newly renovated Beinecke, in front of a crowd of hundreds of exuberant onlookers, this year's show was a hit.
This year may have been our last fire show! The fire marshal has decided that the show is becoming too much of a liability, and as of now, this means we may not be able to have a fire show next year. So let your voices be heard if you are concerned about this turn of events.
